TL;DR:

I don’t want your data. I only collect what I absolutely need to make the game work — and never, ever for creepy or commercial reasons.

❤️ Philosophy

Laser Lightshow is built by one human — not a corporation, not a marketing team. I personally hate shady data collection, and I want to make this crystal clear:

Your data will never be sold, shared, tracked, or analyzed for profit.
No ads. No mailing lists. No funny business.

If you’re trusting me enough to play this game, I’m not going to betray that trust.

What We Collect (and Why)

Data Why We Collect It
Email Address So you can log in with Google or create a Firebase account. That’s it. We do not email you. Ever.
Username So your submissions can have credit, and others can recognize you.
Puzzle Submissions Because creating cool things is part of the fun.
In-Game Profile Avatar Just to show your avatar if you choose one.
Auth Token Used to verify your session across platforms (PC, mobile, etc.).
Gameplay Metrics (like favorites, votes) Used for rankings, trends, and fun stats inside the game. Not tied to your identity outside of gameplay context.

✉️ No Emails. Period.

If you give us your email to sign in — it is only used for that sign-in.

You are not:

  • Being subscribed to anything

  • Being added to a newsletter

  • Being profiled for ads

We don’t even have a mailing list. If that ever changes, you’ll have to manually opt in — and I probably still won’t send one.

How We Use Data

  • To authenticate you securely

  • To load and save your in-game progress

  • To protect your submissions and account

  • To show community stats and rankings in-game

Who We Share It With

We use Firebase by Google to:

  • Handle login/authentication

  • Store user data and submissions

  • Host and protect the game’s backend

That’s it. No other third parties.

️ How Long We Keep It

We only keep your data while your account exists. If you’re inactive for a long time, your data may be cleaned up.

You can request deletion at any time by contacting me.

Children’s Privacy

Laser Lightshow is not designed for kids under 13.
If you’re a parent and find out your child is using the game without permission, reach out and I’ll remove their account data.

Your Rights

You can:

  • Request your data

  • Delete your account

  • Remove specific content

  • Log out and walk away anytime
